Big Agnes Tiger Wall UL2 and UL3 Tent
Big Agnes’ Tiger Wall UL2 & UL3 tents deliver a lot of interior space in an ultralight package. The Tiger Wall is a combination of two popular BA tents, with a shape that’s similar to the Copper Spur, but much lighter, and a pole structure that’s similar to the Fly Creek, but with more interior space. Its semi-freestanding design requires you to stake out the foot of the tent for a full pitch. That said, for a few small drawbacks, the Tiger Wall has a lot to love for ultralight backpackers and is on our Best Tents list.
REI Co-op Igneo and Joule Sleeping Bags – 30% Off
The Joule 21 (women’s) and Igneo 17 (men’s) sleeping bags from REI are great options for those in need of quality comfort at an excellent price point. While not the lightest or most compressible option on this list, the quality, comfort, and warmth of these bags make them a great value option for backpackers on a tighter budget. NEMO Dagger 2P and 3P tent
The NEMO Dagger 2P and 3P tents are big on livability, but don’t take on too much weight to get there. The Dagger has two huge vestibules with lots of room for gear storage. Our main qualm with the Dagger is that we wish it had more ventilation for condensation management, but it’s not a dealbreaker. So if you’re looking for lightweight livability in a convenient design, the NEMO Dagger 2p and 3P are great options and make our Best Backpacking Tents list.

Snowshoeing season has arrived in many parts of the country and its time for outdoor enthusiasts to trade in their trail runners for a pair of quality snowshoes. The Osprey Exos 48 (men’s) and Eja 48 (women’s) are extremely comfortable, lightweight backpacks with great all-around value. The Exos and Eja have a sturdier frame than most lightweight packs, carry heavier loads comfortably, offer great back ventilation, and won’t break the bank either. Our biggest complaint with the updated model is the lack of hip belt pockets. That said, the Exos and Eja are still great packs and are featured on our Best Lightweight Backpacks list.

We love the versatility of Patagonia’s Better Sweater line and have been fans for years. They are stylish enough to wear around town and functional enough to wear as a layer for adventures.
