Bottom Line

If a large surface area and independently adjustable legs are what you’re seeking in a table, the Portal Outdoors Quick Adjust Roll-Up Table Camping Table is an excellent choice. Measuring 27.6 inches in length and an impressive 47.2 inches wide, this table accommodates a family of four or all your cookware and still folds compactly into a carry bag.

The adjustable legs allow seating with any camp chair and provide stability on uneven ground. Setting up the table is simple, with the frame quickly unfolding and the slatted tabletop snapping into place.

Although the clamps are made of plastic, they tightened consistently throughout the season and showed no signs of breaking or snapping off. A mesh bag underneath the table takes just a second longer to set up but provides a place for books, towels, a deck of cards, and other items you prefer to keep off the dirt.

Stability & Durability

The Portal Outdoors Quick Adjust Roll-Up Table Camping Table remained steady in snow, sand, gravel, or uneven, hilly ground. The adjustable legs proved extremely helpful in the Colorado Rockies, where we camped on rocky, unstable terrain multiple times.

We worried that the plastic snaps used to close the legs might not last a season, but they did, and they even held up in below-freezing temperatures. The aluminum surface may scratch, but that does not impact its durability.

Surface Area & Weight Capacity

With dimensions of 27.6 inches in length and a substantial 47.2 inches wide, the Portal Outdoors Quick Adjust Roll-Up Table Camping Table is large enough to meet most camping needs. We had groups of four to six friends join us for a meal or a game of cards, and everyone had enough elbow room.

We also used this as a cook station, comfortably fitting a two-burner stove, a cutting board for prep, multiple condiments, and other kitchen essentials. Additionally, a mesh shelf underneath the table provides storage for gloves, a speaker, a book, or anything else you want nearby but don’t want to take up table space.

Its weight capacity is 60 pounds, which we found more than sufficient to hold most of what you would typically use in an outdoor setting.

Portability

At nine pounds, the Portal Outdoors Quick Adjust Roll-Up Table Camping Table is incredibly lightweight for its size. It comes in a water-resistant carry bag with two separate compartments for the frame and tabletop, which helps prevent scratching of the aluminum slatted top.

Its cylindrical shape makes it easy to slide into an already-packed car, and the handle is convenient for carrying over any distance.

Height

The most notable feature of the Portal Outdoors Quick Adjust Roll-Up Table Camping Table is its adjustable height. Its legs can be set anywhere between 17.5 inches and 25.5 inches, making it ergonomic for use with low camp chairs or for standing while cooking.

We used this table for different activities and found it to be the only one we needed while camping.

Ease of Setup

Once you’ve set up the Portal Outdoors Quick Adjust Roll-Up Table Camping Table a few times, it can be ready in under a minute. The frame stands after one pull from opposite ends, as the poles are already attached to the frame. The slatted top easily rolls onto the frame and snaps into place against the poles.

Watch out for pinch points when folding the frame up for storage.
