Built using quality materials, the Zempire is a sturdy table made to last, and its thoughtful design makes it hassle-free and convenient to bring to any location.
The Kitpac’s size makes it better suited for one to two people, so it’s not the ideal choice for group trips. When it’s just you and a friend, the Zempire is a full-value choice that effortlessly blends form and functionality.

Stability & Durability
The Zempire Kitpac Pro Large Camping Table is top-of-the-line in terms of sturdiness and durability. Its build prioritizes quality materials and features a design that’s equipped to handle weight and usage in a variety of environments.
The table’s frame features aluminum and incorporates several stainless steel joints and braces that stabilize it against pressure and other stressors, making it well-suited for outdoor conditions. Similarly, the bamboo tabletop not only adds a stylish touch but also serves a practical function. Bamboo is hygienic and food safe, making it an ideal surface for food prep or mealtime. It’s also heat-resistant and hard-wearing, making it tough enough to withstand the scuffs and scratches that come with being outside.
The Zempire’s design also offers maximum stability. The legs on the table are individually adjustable, allowing the tiniest tweaks to their height. You can extend each leg to the perfect length, no matter the unevenness of the terrain. We found it incredibly simple to set up the Zempire on sloping campsites and still achieve a flat, stable surface.
Ironically, the Kitpac felt its most wobbly when set up on our cement patio. The legs required some manual adjustment to ensure each foot was flush with the ground, but the table felt more secure on surfaces that allowed the feet to dig in.
The Zempire may eventually require maintenance. There are several pivoting points on the table that may need some cleaning to keep them free of gunk and may also require greasing to keep them moving smoothly. However, aside from minimal upkeep, the table should withstand tough outdoor use without risk of damage or deterioration, and its well-designed build will last for years.

Surface Area & Weight Capacity
The Zempire Kitpac Pro Large Camping Table ironically isn’t the largest table we tested, but when you’re camping by yourself or with a partner, it offers plenty of space for sharing a meal or playing games. The table includes four bamboo panels. The two side panels fold up to create a larger surface area or can be left dropped down for a slimmer profile. If you’re camping with a more spacious tent (our backpacking tent proved a bit too tiny), the two-panel approach with the legs at their lowest setting is small enough to function as a side table inside your tent — the perfect place for a lantern, book, or any other bedside needs.
If you’re camping with a larger group, even with all four panels deployed, the smaller surface area of the Zempire isn’t the best option to squeeze the entire party around. Instead, it’s better suited for trips where table needs are reserved for just one or two people.
Especially considering its size, the Kitpac holds a surprising amount of weight. It can handle a capacity up to 220 pounds, the most of any table we tested. Though we never came close to putting that much weight on the Zempire, its ability to accommodate that much pressure speaks to the strength and durability of its build.
The Kitpac may not be the biggest table out there, but it’s perfectly sized for solo or partner travel. The design’s flexibility allows greater versatility, enabling the Zempire to transform from a dinner table to a side table in seconds, depending on the need, and its unexpectedly high weight capacity gives it an extra edge in long-lasting durability.

Portability
Bringing the Zempire Kitpac Pro Large Camping Table along on your next camping trip is no problem thanks to its thoughtful collapsible design and useful carry case. Before assembly, the table comes packed in a zipper case whose thin rectangular shape slides easily into the nooks and crannies of a fully loaded car trunk, ensuring you won’t have to play Tetris in order to transport it to your destination. The case itself includes burly fabric and features two handles with a padded grip for comfortable in-hand carry. The only improvement would be adding a shoulder strap for more versatile carry options.
What gives the Kitpac an extra edge in portability is its compact design. Like most camping tables, it’s collapsible, but instead of folding into a bulky shape, the Zempire’s legs and table top panels join together to form a tight rectangle. The design’s intentionality keeps bulk to a minimum, even when the table is in transit or storage.
Once put together, the Zempire is easy to move around. Weighing just over 12 pounds, it’s not the lightest table we tested, but we found it more than doable for one person to carry it from one spot to another at the campsite.
Though the Kitpac is heavy enough that we wouldn’t want to haul it for miles down the trail, its thoughtfully collapsible build and accompanying case keep volume low, making it as streamlined as possible to take the Zempire wherever you’re headed.

Ease of use & Height
The Zempire Kitpac Pro Large Camping Table’s collapsible build heightens its portability while also allowing for quick and intuitive setup. Zempire bills it as “the four-fold setup” — the four bamboo panels unfold to form the tabletop, with each leg also folding into position. Just make sure to lock in the joints for complete stability. If using all four tabletop panels for maximum surface area, built-in braces slide under the two extensions to provide extra support and the ability to hold weight. Though it does take a couple of steps, the Zempire comes together in less than a minute, with the pieces instinctively moving into their proper positions.
As mentioned above, each leg of the table is adjustable. Measurement markings on the sides of the legs let you dial in a specific height without any guesswork or needing to eyeball whether the table is level. The adjustability of the legs also enables the table to be used at different heights, depending on the situation. At full extension, if sitting on an average height chair, it’s the perfect position for eating or working at a computer (we wrote much of this guide while sitting outside at the Zempire!). When the legs are shrunk down, the table accommodates lower seated chairs or functions as a side table. We tested camping chairs alongside tables and found that Kitpac’s adjustability made it a great companion to chairs of varying heights.
To top it all off, the Zempire has a built-in bottle opener under the tabletop, a useful little feature that doesn’t impede the table’s sleek, simple design.
Overall, the Kitpac is easy to use, with a simple setup that unfolds in seconds and adjustability that not only keeps things level but also allows the table to be used in a range of situations, no matter the seating arrangement.

Should You Buy the Zempire Kitpac Pro Large Camping Table?
If you’re planning to travel with a larger group, the Zempire Kitpac Pro Large Camping Table might not be the best table choice for mealtime or game night due to its smaller surface area. However, for one or two people, this table quickly became one of our favorites thanks to its practical design that allows for easy transport and the durability of its build that makes it a great fit for the outdoors- and we have no complaints about how good it looks either!
If your camping trips take you to different locations with varying terrain, the adjustability of the Kitpac is perfectly suited to handle the most uneven surfaces, remaining sturdy and strong, while the bamboo tabletop can handle everything from food and stoves to heavier payloads. The Zempire is everything from a cook station and dinner table to a bedside table, making it one of the most versatile choices available.

Portal Outdoors Quick Adjust Roll-Up Table Review: If you’re looking for a table that can accommodate more people while still offering the durability and packability of the Zempire, this table from Portal Outdoors is a great option for larger groups. Adjustable and weighing less than the Kitpac, the roll-top design is compact for transit and designed for everything from meal prep to mealtime.
