Roxy Dawson has been writing about outdoor adventure and gear for over eight years. She dove into the outdoor lifestyle by living in a van for four years and working with outdoor focused magazines to create content and support outdoor brands.

She hails from the east coast but found her stride in Colorado. She uses the state as her home base for writing and relaxing when not adventuring in a travel trailer with her husband and two energetic sons.

She’s tested all types of gear ranging from stand-up paddle boards to beacons and loves a new piece of tech or old-school compass all the same. Her favorite outdoor activities include backcountry snowboarding, backpacking, cross-country skiing, camping, and sunbathing.
